Caroline Burk, A.P.R.N.

Caroline decided to pursue pediatric nurins after having a great experience at Children’s Mercy Hospital during her clinical rotations. Her enjoyment of working with the patients and their families led to her first job in the Pediatric ICU at Wesley Medical Center. She later continued her education to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.

Her pediatric ICU experience gave her a special interest in preventive care, especially asthma. She enjoys educating families on the management of asthma so they can have the best quality of life possible.

Caroline has two children, Landon and Lauren, they are her joy and inspiration. She enjoys exercising at the YMCA, watching KU basketball and watching her kids enjoy sports as much as she does!

Her perfect day would include taking her kids to their first KU basketball game at Allen Fieldhouse and ending it with a backyard BBQ with family and friends.
